The sixth webinar of the series “Polish Talk – Mondays with JHI” will discuss Jewish cemeteries in Poland and will be held on 26 April 2021 on 19:00/
The meeting will discuss about the Jewish cemeteries in Poland as spaces of negotiating memory and heritage, with the sociocultural anthropologist Alicja Mroczkowska, Deputy Head of the Heritage Documentation Department at JHI – The Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw.
The series is a cooperation of The Polish Institute Tel Aviv, Moreshet- Mordechai Anielewicz Memorial Education & Research center and The Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute.

Alicja Mroczkowska is a sociocultural anthropologist, PhD candidate at Warsaw University, graduate of
the Institute of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Warsaw, where she taught
classes about Jewish heritage. She also holds a postgraduate degree from the Faculty of Architecture
at Warsaw University of Technology.
Currently she is Deputy Head of the Heritage Documentation Department at the Jewish Historical
Institute, a specialist in documentation, preservation and commemoration of Jewish heritage in Poland.
An award-winning published cultural anthropologist with expertise in heritage and memory studies.
She is the co-founder Voluntary Task Force for Preservation of the Jewish Cemetery in Warsaw and of
the Foundation for Documentation of Jewish Cemeteries in Poland.
The event will be moderated by Mr. Noam Leibman (Moreshet).
