International Solo Dance Festival

A unique international Solo contemporary dance festival that allows the audience to encounter solo works by choreographers from Israel and the world

For the first time in Israel – a unique international festival for contemporary Solo dance.

The festival that will be held in Jerusalem between Tuesday, September 6th and Thursday, September 8th 2022, is an unusual event which offers the audience a chance to meet solo

performances by choreographers from Israel and the world.

Three days of high-quality art as the Jerusalem summer comes to an end.

Next to the main shows which are held at the court of the Jerusalem Hansen House, the festival will hold artists classes and an international conference focused on the relations

between art-audience-establishment.

From Poland, Zuzanna Kasprzyk and Andrzej Molenda will participate in the festival.

Kasprzyk is an independent dancer and a dance instructor, a graduate of the Krakow National Academy of Theatre Arts (AST) and a teacher at its chorography dept of the Lodz UHE.

Molenda is a physicist with a background in dance, he currently works at the Copernicus Science center in Warsaw.

In their joint work, the couple focuses on a body-directed approach as they are employed in relation to the art world at large while using body-mind elements and aspects from the work of

Moshé Feldenkrais. These are done while employing a personal space of interpretation and free flow of association.

The JISDF Jerusalem 2022 festival is a meeting point between cultures and people and an expression of the tension between the human body and the political location it is in as well

as the option of both personal and universal expression.

This project is led by the Angela Dance Company with its partners, Mikro Theater and Hansen House.

The festival is supported by the Jerusalem Foundation, the Jerusalem Municipality, and the JDA – Jerusalem Development Authority and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,

as well as the Polish Institute Tel Aviv, the Slovak Institute, the Romanian Institute, the Israeli Embassy in Kosovo and more.
