The movie “The Delegation” at the Berinale International Film Festival

Israeli-Polish-German co-production telling about the trip of the Israeli youth to the Holocaust memorial sites in the territory of Poland will compete at the prestigious Berlinale festival

The film “The Delegation” was selected for participation in the 73rd edition of the Berlin festival which will take place between February 16-25, 2023.

The co-production will have its world premiere during this internationally recognized co-production event. The movie tells the story of the Israeli youth trip to Poland, as well as the

important and interesting experience that the participants undergo during the title delegation. To the history of three friends from childhood, who came as a school delegation on a trip

to the cities of the Holocaust in Poland and are excited to participate in this event, significant for many Israelis. Between the extermination camps and places in Przemyśl,

they experience their personal births, facing Łęcze and celebrating the sudden end of their innocent youth.

“The Delegation” is a film about coming of age, about a lifelong and unique experience, which I experienced as a teenager and which shared so many people growing up and studying

in this region – says film director Assaf Saban – The fact that standing in Berlin, It makes me wonder that this journey from the pit to the present is profoundly and exciting.”

The film will compete for the Crystal Bear award and will compete in the category of films for children and young people.
