A meeting of representatives of European countries to discuss the joint work to advance the goals of the European Union in Israel in 2023 was held on February 2, 2023.
The meeting was attended by the director of the Polish Institute, Anna Raduchowska-Brochwicz, the outgoing chairman of the European Union’s Cultural Institutions in Israel (UNIK) Arno
Mitterdorfer (Embassy of Austria), the incoming chairman of Unique Dr. Carola Dürer (from the Goethe Institute) and the incoming vice-chairman of Unique Elena Kidosiota (Embassy of
Lithuania), along with the other European partners of Unique (among them Greece, Romania, France, and members of the EU delegation in Israel).
The current discussion dealt with the various ways in which the various partners could work together to promote the EU’s missions in Israel throughout the year 2023.
The incoming head of Unique, Dr. Durer, said that “we think in different channels of culture” and added that in her opinion, culture is the best possible public relations.
