Trails of Hope – a new exhibition

The new exhibition of the Institute of National Remembrance depicting the extraordinary journey of the soldiers of General Władysław Anders' Army includes rare photographs digitally processed and tells the story of crossing thousands of kilometers to reach the free world and independent Poland

“Trails of Hope. The Odyssey of Freedom” is a new exhibition presenting the extraordinary journey of General Władysław Anders’ Army soldiers on their to the then British

Mandate of Palestine. The opening of the exhibition will take place at the Menachem Begin Center in Jerusalem from June 6, 2023 at 19:00 (ul. Nakhon 6).

Created by the Polish Institute of National Remembrance, the exhibition includes unique, digitally reconstructed photographs. It tells the story of soldiers traveling thousands of kilometers,

heading for the desired goal, which was an independent Poland, a safe Europe and a free world.

The exhibition of the Institute of National Remembrance was presented all over the world. Each of its thematic blocks consists of a general part, showing a broad historical context, as well as a

local part, emphasizing the close ties connecting Poles with a specific place where the exhibition is presented.

The Israeli edition of the exhibition focuses on Menachem Begin – one of the soldiers of General Władysław Anders’ Army. It is a story about fear and courage, love for loved ones and longing for

the Homeland, a story about heroism, sacrifice and the price of freedom. Above all, however, it is a story about hope.

Admission to the opening of the exhibition is free.

If you are interested in participating, please register in advance on the Begin Center website.
