The European Union Delegation to Israel, in cooperation with European cultural institutes and the embassies of EU member states, hosted a unique evening offering a rich cultural and linguistic experience in celebration of European Languages Day.
The event attracted hundreds of participants who enjoyed a variety of activities: Speak Dating stations, where attendees could try out different languages; a musical performance by singer Pablo Rozenberg; a fascinating lecture by Eran Katz – Guinness World Record holder in memory and international bestselling author; and a festive buffet.
Michael Mann, EU Ambassador to Israel, said:
“Tonight, as we celebrate European Languages Day, I invite you to reflect on what each new language represents: not only a grammar structure and vocabulary, but also an invitation to another world. Every conversation we have in a language that is not our own is an act of courage, humility, and connection. In our connected yet sometimes divided world, small acts like these, which build bridges, are more impactful today than ever.”
