Chrismukkah 2025 with students of the Polish language

The holiday season — Christmas and Hanukkah — provided an opportunity for a festive gathering at the Polish Institute, bringing together participants of courses organized by the Institute, students of the Polish language courses at Tel Aviv University, and attendees of the Interdisciplinary Center for Polish Studies at the University of Haifa.

At the Polish Institute, courses are conducted online at three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. A team of certified teachers from Poland leads the courses, with a strong focus on the individual needs of each student. During their studies, participants learn not only grammar rules, but also become familiar with Polish culture, literature, and history.

The Interdisciplinary Center for Polish Studies at the University of Haifa (HIUPS) was officially inaugurated in 2022. Its mission is to promote knowledge about Poland — its history, culture, economy, politics, society, and related fields. The Center also offers Polish language courses at several proficiency levels, as well as scholarships and research grants for outstanding students and graduates conducting high-quality academic research related to Polish studies.

At Tel Aviv University, the Polish language lectorate is offered as an extracurricular course for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students.

The festive gathering with the teachers leading the language courses — Agata Krizevski, Małgorzata Matysik, Dr. Dorota Burda-Fischer, and Mira Ledowska — was attended by several dozen students of the Polish language. Participants enjoyed the holiday atmosphere with traditional Polish and Jewish dishes, and found publications related to Poland waiting for them under the Christmas tree.

All those interested in Polish language courses are encouraged to follow our website and social media (Facebook and Intstagram)!
