Inauguration of Polish-language events at the Polish Institute’s library

On January 23, the library of the Polish Institute hosted the first meeting in a new series of events held in Polish, aimed at the Polish-speaking community in Israel. The initiative seeks to create an open and welcoming space for conversation and the exchange of experiences.

Participants — members of the local community — are invited to co-create the program by sharing their interests, knowledge, and personal as well as professional experiences. The series offers an opportunity to build relationships, make new connections, and strengthen a sense of community in a relaxed atmosphere of dialogue. For many, it is also a chance to maintain and further develop their knowledge of the Polish language.

The first meeting was devoted to mindfulness — understood both as a lifestyle, a meditation practice, and a way of cultivating awareness, a sense of meaning, and belonging. The discussion focused on the challenges of everyday life in constant haste and on methods of caring for mental balance and well-being. The guest of the meeting was Emilia Kurland, experienced in meditation practice and a healthy lifestyle, who shared her reflections and practical experience, inspiring participants to further explore the topic.

The meeting met with exceptional interest and opened a new chapter in the library’s activities. The next event in the series will take place on February 27 — details coming soon!
