Finissage-Begleitprogramm zur Ausstellung „Ein kurzer Urlaub | A Brief Vacation“ (12.03.2026–30.04.2026)

Wir laden euch herzlich zu einer einstündigen Session im Ausstellungsraum ein, geleitet von Alicja Wysocka und Oksana Pawełko.

Die Session nimmt die Form einfacher, gemeinsamer somatischer Übungen an – Arbeit mit Berührung, Körpergewicht, Atem und Achtsamkeit. Durch eine Reihe sanfter Gesten und kollektiver Aktionen erfahren die Teilnehmenden den Raum nicht nur visuell, sondern mit dem ganzen Körper.

Ausgangspunkt ist die Idee von Ruhe als ein gemeinsames Recht und nicht als Privileg – sowie die Frage, wie wir Regeneration in der Gegenwart anderer praktizieren können.

Keine Vorkenntnisse oder Bewegungserfahrung erforderlich.

Alicja Wysocka ist eine interdisziplinäre Künstlerin aus Schlesien. In ihrer Praxis untersucht sie Modelle von Gemeinschaft und alternativen Ökonomien und entwickelt kollaborative Projekte, die häufig die Form kollektiver therapeutischer Erfahrungen annehmen. Sie schafft performative und partizipative Situationen und arbeitet mit dem Medium der Videoinstallation. Sie ist Absolventin der Städelschule – Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Frankfurt am Main sowie der Kunstuniversität in Poznań.

Ihre Arbeiten wurden u. a. gezeigt in: Modem Debrecen (2025), Triennale Milano (2025), Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt (2025), Kunstverein Wiesen (2023), der Architekturbiennale in Venedig (2021), Kunstverein Wiesbaden (2021), dem Museum für Moderne Kunst in Warschau (2020) sowie dem Zentrum für Zeitgenössische Kunst in Warschau (2017).

Residencies absolvierte sie u. a. bei: IASPIS Stockholm (2025), MMCA Seoul (2023), PARADISE AIR Tokyo (2023), Jan van Eyck Academie (2022–2023), Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto (2021), Akademie Schloss Solitude (2020) sowie Jatiwangi Art Factory, Indonesien (2019).

Oksana Pawełko ist Performerin, Autorin und bildende Künstlerin, die an der Schnittstelle von Theater, Film sowie visuellen und performativen Künsten arbeitet. 2025 erhielt sie ein danceWEB-Stipendium in Wien. Derzeit studiert sie am Institut für Angewandte Theaterwissenschaft in Gießen.

Finissage accompanying program of the exhibition “Ein kurzer Urlaub | A Brief Vacation”
(12 March – 30 April 2026)

We warmly invite you to a one-hour session in the exhibition space, led by Alicja Wysocka and Oksana Pawełko.

The session takes the form of simple, shared somatic exercises – working with touch, body weight, breath, and awareness. Through a series of gentle gestures and collective actions, participants experience the space not only visually, but with the whole body.

The starting point is the idea of rest as a shared right rather than a privilege – and the question of how we can practice regeneration in the presence of others.

No prior experience or movement background is required.

Alicja Wysocka is an interdisciplinary artist from Silesia. In her practice, she explores models of community and alternative economies, creating projects based on collaboration that often take the form of collective therapeutic experiences. She develops performative and participatory situations and works with the medium of video installation. She is a graduate of the Städelschule – Hochschule für Bildende Künste in Frankfurt am Main and the University of the Arts in Poznań.

She has participated in exhibitions, among others, at: Modem Debrecen (2025), Triennale Milano (2025), Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt (2025), Kunstverein Wiesen (2023), the Venice Architecture Biennale (2021), Kunstverein Wiesbaden (2021), the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (2020), and the Centre for Contemporary Art in Warsaw (2017).

Oksana Pawełko is a performer, writer, and visual artist working at the intersection of theatre, film, and visual and performance art. In 2025, she received the danceWEB scholarship in Vienna. She is currently studying at the Department of Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen.
