“Solidarity Camp” is a project where a camp is used as the artistic space. The installation consists of steel “cabins” which were created for years on end by dock workers of the Gdansk dockyard in order to separate their private space from the collective industrial one. This was a place to meet during breaks for coffee, breakfast, rest, and sometimes to conspire. The cabins were the centre of social life and the place of free expression of views.
The program “Solidarity Camp” will consist of lectures, art projects, competitions, and round tables.
