Breaking the Limits on VOD in the UK, Ireland, USA and Canada

Breaking the Limits is directed by award-winning director Łukasz Palkowski whose film Gods picked up a string of awards at the Polish Film Awards in 2015 including Best Film. He also directed season one of the record-breaking TV crime drama The Teach for Canal+.

Mixing gritty, emotional drama with thrilling sports spectacle, Breaking the Limits tells the incredible true story of Jerzy Górski, a young man in 1980s communist Poland who overcame a crippling heroin addiction to become one of the best endurance athletes in the world.

Breaking the Limits won a series of awards at the Polish Film Festival 2018 including the Golden Lion Audience Award, the Golden Lion for Best Debut Performance: Kamila Kamińska and the Golden Lion for Best Screenplay: Marek Warszewski. The film also won the Audience Award at the International Film Festival Tofifest 2018.

The film stars Jakub Gierszał (The Lure), Tomasz Kot (Cold War), Adam Woronowicz (Cold War), Artur Zmijewski (Katyn), Arkadiusz Jakubik (I’m a Killer), and Anna Próchniak (The Innocents).
