Major Incident

Exhibition by by Piotr Krzymowski, hosted by PROJECT Thirteen.

18 May – 6 June . Please register for a specific hour here.

Soho based organisation is getting ready to return to the ‘new normal’ with ‘Major Incident’ – solo show by London based artist Piotr Krzymowski, created out of single use masks and gloves found on London streets. The exhibition is the first show hosted by PROJECT Thirteen and is collaboratively curated by Marta Marsicka and Dimitrios Tsivrikos and coordinated by Maggio Carizi.

The exhibition presents the artist’s critical approach to mass produced plastic Personal Protective Equipment and showcases a creative response to the environmental issue of COVID19 waste, which soon will become an inevitable matter to face.

Krzymowski looks at the COVID19 crisis through the perspective of an artist-activist and creates an engaging story through his multi-media installations.

‘Major incident is a precursory exhibition when it comes to the topic’ – says Marta Marsicka, one of the curators of the show. ‘Krzymowski’s ability to combine visually exciting expression with sarcastic, humorous or ironic quality really shines ‘through’ .
