The Chopin Festival will be held over the weekend of the 15th/16th October 2022 at the Polish Social and Cultural Centre POSK in London. It is a celebration of Poland’s unique musical genius, Fryderyk Chopin. All music performed at the Festival will be by the maestro, with audiences enjoying well-loved traditional performances by some truly exceptional musicians, as well as inspired new arrangements and interpretations of the classics, designed to delight and amaze the inquisitive ear. A variety of Chopin-inspired events (for both children and adults) will accompany the musical festivities.
The musical programme will include three concerts, performed by internationally acclaimed artists.
The festival will open with a Gala Concert on the 15th of October, featuring Janusz Olejniczak, Adam Palma, Ewa Majcherczyk, Marcin Gesla, Ewa Osińska, and Artur Haftman. Following that, on the same day, there will be Chopin Jazz Concert joined by the Alle Choir London, John Donegan, and Stephen Ellery.
On the 16th of October, the Festival will host Chopin Competition finalist Kamil Pacholec, as well as John Paul Ekins, Natalia Meksa, Alina Bzhezhinska, Margaret Preston, Rozanna Madylus during an afternoon “Łazienki” concert.
The festival will close with a movie screening “Chopin: Desire for Love directed by Jerzy Antczak”, on the 16th of October.
