Karol Szymanowski’s Symphony No 3 at Classical Pride, The Barbican

Polish composer Karol Szymanowski's Symphony No 3, Song of the Night will by performed by the London Symphony Orchestra at this year's Classical Pride Festival at the Barbican.

7th July, 7pm, The Hall, the Barbican

Classical Pride is an annual festival curated by conductor Oliver Zeffman to showcase the breadth and diversity of queer artists across classical music. Following the huge success of its inaugural year, Classical Pride returns in 2024 with an expanded five-day festival from 3-7 July at London’s Barbican.

This year’s Classical Pride will feature a performance of Polish composer Karol Szymanowski’s Symphony No 3, Song of the Night which will feature amongst other works perfromed as part of the closing concert of the festival on the 7th July – a concert in which the London Symphony Orchestra will perform, conducted by Oliver Zeffman with a line-up of star soloists including soprano Pumeza Matshikiza and tenor Russell Thomas and the LGBTQ+ Community Choir.

Classical Pride is non-profit with net proceeds donated to three important LGBTQ+ charities; Rainbow Railroad, Terrence Higgins Trust & GAY TIMES’ Amplifund
