The album features compositions by seven outstanding female composers, culminating in Grażyna Bacewicz’s Piano Sonata No. 2. Some of the pieces recorded on the album are world premiere recordings.
Joanna Kacperek is highly celebrated for being a multi-faceted pianist with a wide ranging repertoire, both as a soloist and a collaborative pianist. She has performed in major concert halls in her native Poland as well as in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Norway, the Ukraine, Canada and Japan. Concerto appearances include performances with such orchestras as the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw and the Lviv Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra.
