The event was inspired by the remarkable story of the lost monument to Frédéric Chopin, given to Great Britain by Poland in 1975. After years of being considered lost, it was found under Waterloo Bridge and, thanks to the long-running efforts of Dr Marek Stella-Sawicki, returned to its place at the Southbank Centre.

The evening will be not only a concert but also an artistic story of memory, Polish–British friendship, determination, and humanity.

Audiences will hear a recital by the outstanding pianist Artur Haftman, a specially prepared theatrical narration, and a performance by singer Maja Walentynowicz, a finalist of The Voice of Poland.

Particular prestige will be lent to the event by the presence of invited guests. Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in London, Rafał Wiśniewski, has confirmed his participation, and a representative of the British Royal Family has also expressed preliminary interest in attending. Their attendance remains subject to formal confirmation.

The event’s organiser is Business Social Club by Kamreno, and the Institutional Partner is the Polish Cultural Institute in London.

Following the artistic programme, there will be an elegant networking reception for invited guests.
