Donate “Windows for Ukraine” to help Ukrainians rebuild their homes

A call for the donation of windows for the "Windows for Ukraine" exhibition at the Polish Pavilion at the London Design Biennale. Donations will be collected between 10th April - 10th May.

10th April – 10th May, London (various collection points)

Help support a great cause and donate windows to the Polish Pavilion’s “Windows for Ukraine” exhibition at this year’s London Design Biennale and help people rebuilding their destroyed homes in Ukraine.

This year’s London Design Biennale will touch upon the theme of ‘remapping collaborations’, putting international, interdisciplinary cooperation in architecture and design into the spotlight.

New forms of working together are also the heart of this year’s Polish pavilion at the Biennale.

At the centre of the pavilion you will find reused windows – an installation inspired by a Polish call to action, during which volunteers gathered hundreds of windows all around Poland, and sent them to Ukrainians rebuilding their homes.

The windows you will find in Somerset House as part of the exhibition, will join those which are sent to Ukraine from Warsaw, becoming part of humanitarian aid efforts and reaching those who need them the most.

That’s why, the BRDA Foundation, along with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (Culture.pl), the organizer of the Polish exhibition at the Biennale, with the support of the Polish Cultural Institute in London, will be collecting reused windows in London, starting on the 10th of April!

The Polish Pavilion will feature about 30 windows, which can be donated to the organizers by residents of London between the * 10th of April and 10th of May *

You will find all the necessary information about what windows are being collected, the London storage unit and how to donate at the link at the bottom of this post.

You can also contact the BRDA Foundation on: windowsforukraine@fundacjabrda.org or reach out to them in DMs.

The windows gathered will be put in the centre of the Polish exhibition, and will later be transported to non-profit organizations in Kyiv.
