De Reszke Brothers: Vocal Competition and Gala Concert

A Vocal Competition for singers below the age of 19 named after world famous opera singers the De Reszke Brothers. Event also includes a Concert followed by Drinks Reception.

20th October, 7:30pm, Ognisko Polskie

The De Reszke Brothers were world famous opera singers in the 19th century, and enjoyed a Royal endorsement being favourites of Queen Victoria.

A Vocal Competition in their honour provides singers below the age of 19 with an opportunity to compete in a prestigious competition.

The repertoire is opera, Lieder, and musicals, accompanied by a professional pianist.

The top three singers will each receive a prize, with additional awards being the Reszke Family Award for Personality. 

The evening continues with guest performances by:

Jadwiga Słomka, Konrad Jaromin and Aleksandra Myslek,

The concert will be followed by a reception with wine, soft drinks and cocktail snacks.

This event is being held in conjunction with Ognisko Polskie, The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London, Stowarzyszenie Wspólnota Polska, and the Anglo-Polish Cultural Exchange.
