Polish pianist Aleksandra Mysłek joins concert @ Wigmore Hall

The winner of the 2023 Guildhall Wigmore Prize, soprano Ana-Carmen Balestra, gives her debut Wigmore Hall recital. She will be joined by pianist Aleksandra Mysłek and harpist Heather Brooks  for the upcoming concert.

Recital’s programme includes Nachtstück D672 by Franz Schubert, Nuit d’étoiles by Claude Debussy and Was I not a little blade of grass? Op. 47 No. 7. by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The evening will be concluded by Violetta Parra’s piece Gracias a la Vida specially arranged by Ana-Carmen Balestra.

The concert will last approximately 2 hours, including an interval. There are £5 tickets for Under 35s available.

Polish pianist, Aleksandra Mysłek, who will be joining the concert, is a staff pianist at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire and Guildhall School as well as being a frequent guest at the Royal Academy of Music. She has a great record of being a talented musician, as her early education was marked by a particular affinity to music by Fryderyk Chopin and at the age of nine, she received a special prize from the National Fryderyk Chopin Society for her performance of one of the early Nocturnes. Apart from pursuing her research interests, (the music of Karol Szymanowski) Aleksandra became involved in more extracurricular activities such as répétiteur work, orchestral conducting studies and organisational work.
