The tenth edition of the Arava International Film Festival will begin on November 3 (Wednesday) and will last for ten days.

The annual festival takes place in the heart of the Ashosh Nature Reserve, in close proximity to Zuqim and gathers cinema professionals and lovers from around the world, making it one of the top movie festivals in Israel.

The unique combination of quality cinema and breathtaking natural beauty transforms the movie-viewing experience as patrons gather at 5 p.m. to watch under the star filled night sky.

This year, the festival will include a special tribute to the great Polish film director Krzysztof Kieślowski. During each evening of its ten days, one film in the 1988 10-films series Dekalog (the Ten Commandments) will be screened.

In addition, Polish cinematographer Piotr Jaxa, who worked with Kieślowski, will visit the festival and a special exhibition of his photographs will open on location. Taking place between November 3 – 11, the festival combines movies and a chance to meet movie-makers face to face. Patrons will be able to enjoy world premieres of documentaries produced during 2021 as well as movies for the entire family.

Polish film at the Jerusalem Jewish Film
