Holocaust Memorial Day – A reading and remembering encounter

A literary meeting which will focus on the collection of Holocaust survivors memoirs and books depicting WW2

In honor of Holocaust Memorial Day we will hold a special reading circle focused on memories from that time in history.

The meeting will take place on Friday April 29 at 11 a.m. at the Polish Institute Library where special attention will be given to books describing the personal memories of Holocaust survivors and other books depicting WW2.

The meeting, part of the Polish Reading Club, will include participants who will select a Polish language book from the collection of the Polish Inst.

The books, which those who are taking part in the event would be asked to read, will serve as a foundation to the discussion we will have on the experience of the Holocaust and how this time is remembered in these important books.

The encounter will be led by Dr. Anat Vatori from the Interdisciplinary Unit of Polish Studies at Haifa University.
