Throughout 2026, the Polish Institute Library will host a new series of meetings in Polish – “Polish Meetings” (Polskie spotkania) – aimed at the Polish-speaking community in Israel. The series seeks to create a lively and vibrant community space. In each session, community members will lead an open discussion around their interests, knowledge, and expertise. It is a place to meet, share personal and professional experience, and strengthen connections within the community – with generosity, curiosity, and a desire to deepen relationships.
The third event will take place on April 24 and include a tour tracing the Polish history of Tel Aviv will take place — an event that has gained great popularity, and this time will be held in Polish!
A historian and certified tour guide Jan Kirschenbaum will present the sites, figures, and stories that reveal the contribution of the Jewish community from Poland to the establishment of Tel Aviv and the shaping of the State of Israel in its early years.
During the tour we will visit sites that once housed, among others, the legendary Neustein bookstore, the Polish–Palestinian Chamber of Commerce, and the Tel Aviv branch of PKO – the Polish National Bank.
The tour, held in Polish, will begin and end at 3 Rothschild Blvd., Tel Aviv. Afterwards, we will be happy to host the participants for light refreshments and glass of wine at the Polish Institute.
The activity lasts about three hours, including approximately two hours of walking. Participation is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Places are limited!
