New August Dates for the “Polish Tel Aviv” Walking Tour

Kick off the summer break with another opportunity to discover the Polish side of Tel Aviv! Two new dates have been added for our walking tour led by Israeli-Polish historian and licensed tour guide Jan Kirshenbaum.

How accurate is the claim that Polish Jews played a central role in the establishment of the State of Israel? Who were they, when and how did they arrive to Israel, and how did they preserve their ties to Polish culture?

On this walking tour along Allenby Street, we will uncover the Polish stories hidden in the heart of Tel Aviv. We will visit the sites where the legendary Neustein Bookstore, the Polish-Palestinian Chamber of Commerce, and the Tel Aviv branch of PKO – the Polish National Bank were once located, and learn about the people, institutions, and initiatives that helped shape the city and the future state.

The tour will be conducted in Hebrew and will last approximately two hours. It will begin and end at the entrance to Beit Psagot, 3 Rothschild Boulevard, Tel Aviv. At the end of the tour, participants are invited to enjoy light refreshments at the Polish Institute.

Participation is free of charge, but advance registration is required. The number of places is limited.

We look forward to seeing you!
