Poetic Documentary, a story of Henryk Schoenker, son of Leon Schoenker – the last chairman of Jewish community in pre-war Oswiecim/ Auschwitz.

Very personal memories of Henryk about pre-war Auschwitz-city where Jews and Poles had lived in close relations, following by story of his father who adhered to Nazi Germans orders established the Bureau of Emigration of Jews to Palestine. This shocking testimony tell story about striking discovery and poses a difficult questions. Documentary made in new movie language – archi-collages submitted to Oscar 2016 and winner of 43 world awards.

Polish film at the Jerusalem Jewish Film

The film “Cywia and Rachel” by Rafaël Lewandowski, which explores the lives of Rachel Auerbach and Cywia Lubetkin and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, will participate this year in the Jerusalem Jewish Film Festival. The festival will focus on Jewish identity and culture and will present dozens of films and special events during the Hanukkah holiday.
