Who is Maryla Szymiczkowa? A literary gathering

A literary meeting which will focus on the first book in the series of suspense novels penned by Maryla Szymiczkowa, which weaves together satire and mystery with description of Krakow in the 19th century

Who is Maryla Szymiczkowa? An invitation to a literary gathering – Friday November 26 at 11 a.m. as part of the Polish reading club.

A literary evening which will focus on the first book in the series of suspense novels penned by Maryla Szymiczkowa, which weaves together satire and mystery with description of

Krakow in the 19th century.

Szymiczkowa is actually a fictional character herself, the novels are written by two (real) Polish writers who collaborate on them – Jacek Dehnel and Piotr Tarczyński.

The literary event will take place on Friday November 26 at 11 a.m. as part of the Polish reading club.

The book is Tajemnica domu Helclow (Mrs. Mohr Goes Missing). Not only is it a first-rate suspense novel, it does a fantastic job of introducing the reader

to the humor and characters of 19’th century Krakow. An easy to read book with fun, satirically-rich language.

Those who pre-register can pick up a copy from our library. Only a limited number of copies is available.

The meeting will be held in Polish.
