Jerzy Nowosielski (1923 – 2011) was a well-known Polish painter, extremely talented illustrator and graphic artist. On January 7 2023 we mark the centenary of his birth.
Born in Krakow, he became famous thanks to his works, which illuminated the walls of contemporary churches and religious houses in Krakow, Białystok and France. In addition to these murals,
he painted portraits, nature paintings and abstractions, and his works are in the collections of many Polish museums, as well as in private collections in Canada, the USA and Germany.
