European Night of Literature

Bear and forest - European Night of Literature dedicated to the theme of "Childhood" will take place at Beit Liebling in Tel Aviv on 12 September

The European Night of Literature  celebrates the best of contemporary European literature. This year, stories from 11 countries will be presented, each exploring the insights of growing up in Europe. The works were written by the best contemporary European writers.

The stories will be read by Israeli actors: Iftah Klein, Adi Gilat, Alon Friedman and Liron Ben-Shlush. In addition, short animations will be screened, alongside an interview with the youth writer Avihai Nazari, whose book “The eyes are getting used to the darkness” was published this year.

The stories presented during the event come from the following countries: Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania and Spain.

 

The Polish book during this year’s European Night of Literature is “King of Warsaw” by Szczepan Twardoch.

The event will take place on Thursday, September 12 at Beit Liebling in Tel Aviv at 7 p.m.
