Music from Chopin’s Land UK Concert & Masterclass Series

Violin Concert and Masterclass Series in Cardiff, Chichester and London introducing audiences to works by four of Poland's most eminent composers.

4-7 November 2022 – Cardiff, Chichester, London

The Music from Chopin’s Land Violin Edition 2022, is the 3rd edition of a special Concert and Masterclass Series focusing on music by eminent Polish composers.

Three concerts + masterclasses will be held as part of the series in which works by four Polish composers: Wieniawski, Bacewicz, Chopin and Szymanowski will be played by award-winning Polish violinist Agata Szymczewska and pianist Wojciech Szymczewski.

Violinist Agata Szymczewska was born in Gdansk, and was the winner of the 13th International Wieniawski Violin Competition.

Booking: Masterclass: A Focus on Polish Composers – Trinity Laban

“Music from Chopin’s Land”, presents a wide range of Polish piano music (the 2020 edition) and violin music (the 2022 edition).

From music by Chopin and Wieniawski and other 19th-century Polish composers, through Paderewski and Bacewicz to composers of educational music: Garścia and Rybicki, Cofalik and Iwan.

The presentation of these works has been encapsulated in 50 educational videos, where renowned educators analyse individual pieces, highlighting their usefulness in the learning process of young piano and violin students as well as advanced musicians.

Each of the 50 films is available in 6 language versions: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Polish. They are recorded by pianists and violinists from 5 different countries.


The Music from the Chopin’s Land, 3rd edition is part of the “Inspiring Culture” Programme executed in cooperation with Hal Leonard Europe, Sarasate and the Polish Institutes in London, Paris, Vienna, Rome, Tokio Co-financed by the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sports as part of the “Inspiring Culture” Programme.
