Kyiv Unbroken: Movie screening raising funds for Ukraine

Documentary film screening raising important aid for Ukraine, including a Q&A with the director and live music. Kyiv Unbroken is a stirring documentary that follows artists after the Maidan Revolution.

The event includes a discounted bar, live music, film screening and a Q&A with the director.

This one night only event, with the aim of raising funds for aid for Ukraine, will screen ‘Kyiv Unbroken’. The award winning documentary follows the artists that mushroomed in Ukraine following the Maidan’s Revolution of Dignity in 2014. The monumental event has had a continuing influence on painters, photographers, sculptors, musicians and film-makers in Ukraine and in Europe. You will learn about the artistic shockwaves that have followed to this day, in the backdrop of a nation at war, fighting for its freedom.

All funds raised through ticket sales will be used in support of Driving Aid for Ukraine and British-Ukrainian Aid to help get aid to Ukraine and reduce human suffering and save lives.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
