Announcment of the upcoming series of winter/spring 2024 concerts from the Chopin Society at Westminster Cathedral Hall

The Winter/Spring series of concerts run by the Chopin Society UK at Westminster Cathedral hall has been announced and are as follows:
Sunday January 28th 4:30pm – Murray McLachlan recital – Haydn, Beethoven, McLachlan, Chopin
Sunday February 25th 4:30pm – Mishka Rushdie Momen recital – Schubert, Chopin
Sunday March 24th 4:30pm – Charles Owen recital – Schumann, Chopin, Prokofiev
Sunday April 28th 4:30pm – Gabriele Strata recital

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik
The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
