Come and hear the greatest tango classics rediscovered and rearranged by young musicians. Piotr Zubek and Janek Pentz rediscover forgotten songs of this Argentinian composer, bandoneon virtuoso, pioneer of nuevo tango. Innovative, contemporary arrangement combines a jazzy approach to vocal improvisation with the unique sound of the acoustic fingerstyle guitar.

Piotr Zubek is a Polish jazz vocalist, songwriter, actor, and broadcaster. He won over 300 music competitions in Poland and abroad. In 2020 placed in a list of “The Best Male Jazz Vocalists in Poland” organized by Polish Edition of Jazz Forum. He performed at the most important scenes in Poland (such as National Theatre) with the greatest musicians in the country. For his debut album “Moja wycinanka” (“My cut-out”) he was awarded by Polish Radio one of the most important musical awards in Poland – Mateusz (Matthew). In his artistic portfolio he has concerts all over Poland and in other European countries.

Janek Pentz is a Polish acoustic guitarist and composer associated with the fingerstyle scene. He played the opening spots for such great artists as Tommy Emmanuel, Andrew York, Andy McKee, Luca Stricagnoli, Daniel Cavanagh (Anathema), Alex Misko, Igor Presnyakov, Adam Palma, BAiKA (Banach&Kafi), pARTyzant, Marek Napiórkowski, Mirosław Czyżykiewicz, Lion Shepherd, Stefano Barone, and cooperated with many others in his homeland and abroad. Successful tours of Poland, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Netherlands enrich his experience. He’s the film music composer as well. Information about his musical activity, including interviews, have been published inter alia in Polish Top Guitar and Gitarzysta (Guitarist) magazines, Polish Radio and Antyradio, also in German Gitarre & Bass, Akustik Gitarre magazines, hr2kultur radio, and his music by the prestigious American label CandyRat Records. Janek released two original albums: – Heroic Dreams… (EP, 2017) – Eternity (LP, 2019).

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
