Jazz @ POSK – Jam Session / 7th April 2024

Uncover the diverse notes of London's jazz spectrum at POSK's Jazz Jam Session. Pianist Tomasz Zyrmont and his trio set the stage for an evening of musical exploration, inviting instrumentalists and vocalists to join in the rhythmic camaraderie.

We warmly invite you to the Jazz Jam Session as part of the “Jazz at POSK” series, a unique event for all London-based jazz enthusiasts and music lovers. Come to POSK and experience an improvised musical evening led by pianist Tomasz Zyrmont and his outstanding trio, featuring Mirko Scarcia on double bass and Filippo Galli on drums. Each of them is already a recognized artist on the vibrant London jazz scene.

Following the spirit of jam sessions, the POSK stage is open to any instrumentalist or vocalist who would like to join in playing jazz standards with other musicians in a friendly and creative atmosphere. Jam Session provides an excellent opportunity to connect on stage and at tables with professional musicians from the London jazz scene, as well as emerging talents. Every musician, listener, and jazz enthusiast is warmly welcomed.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
