THE BULLS HEAD JAZZ CLUB – SATURDAY 22nd JUNE 2024

Outstanding musicians Sean Khan and Tomasz Zyrmont join forces to create a unique musical collaboration. With a wealth of experience and a repertoire spanning various genres, this dynamic duo not only promises but also delivers hypnotic and captivating performances.

Sean Khan a renowned jazz saxophonist, Sean Khan is already a familiar figure on the British jazz scene. He has graced iconic London stages such as Ronnie Scott’s, London Jazz Cafe, Cargo, Koko, and the 606 Club. His concerts are characterized by technical prowess and deep emotional expression, and his international reach includes festivals and clubs in France, Portugal, Denmark, Japan, Cuba, and beyond. Tomasz Zyrmont An accomplished pianist and composer, Tomasz Zyrmont brings versatile experience and compositional talent to this musical collaboration. A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Poland and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, he has performed on prestigious stages including the British Parliament, Ronnie Scott’s jazz club, the 606 Club, and Boisdale in Canary Wharf. Tomasz has performed in Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland and the USA.

Khan and Zyrmont, both residing in South West London, seamlessly blend mainstream jazz elements with a modern playing style. You can fully immerse yourself in these colorful sounds and discover their shared passion for pushing musical boundaries. In their years of collaboration, the musicians have recorded in studio and played concerts as a duo, trio, and quartet. They have performed at venues such as the 606 Club, Jazz at POSK, and the House of St. Barnabas. In November of this year, they performed to a full house at the renowned Polish Jazz Club Pod Filarami in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
