INTERPHASE QUARTET

An evening of mesmerizing jazz as Interphase takes the stage once again at the 606 Club. Don't miss the chance to witness this extraordinary performance.

Founded in London by pianist Tomasz Zyrmont and saxophonist Sean Khan, Interphase is a hard bop/groove/contemporary jazz quartet. Their project seamlessly blends mainstream jazz elements with a modern playing style. You can fully immerse yourself in these colorful sounds and discover their shared passion for pushing musical boundaries.

The Interphase setlist comprises unusual standards by masters Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and Joe Henderson, delivered with a modern twist, along with their own original compositions. Also featuring Ben Hazleton on bass and Filippo Galli on drums, the members have played and recorded with artists including Hermeto Pascoal, Omar, Groove Razors, Jim Mullen, Tony Kofi, and Marcos Valle, to name just a few. Their globe-trotting exploits have seen them playing at venues in countries from Cuba to Brazil, Japan to the US. The Interphase Quartet has performed at prestigious venues such as the 606 Club, Jazz at POSK, and the House of St. Barnabas, as well as the Jazz Club Pod Filarami in Poland. This concert at the 606 Club will mark their third performance at this iconic venue, demonstrating their growing popularity and the strong connection they have established with their audience.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
