A special Polish Independence Day concert from the acclaimed Filipczak siblings, featuring works by Poland's most famous composers.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Violinist MAGDALENA FILIPCZAK has been praised as “a musical chameleon, quickly getting under the skin of whatever she’s playing” (THE ARTS DESK), with a flair for captivating performances that leave a lasting impression. Her recent Carnegie Hall recital debut was heralded by the New York Concert Review as “a concert not to be forgotten…Ms Filipczak exploited it as the vehicle of violin wizardry it was meant to be…surpassed expectations.”

As a soloist and chamber musician pianist ŁUKASZ FILIPCZAK has given concerts in England, France, Belgium, Germany, Ukraine, and several other countries, performing at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including the Berliner Philharmonie and the Royal Festival Hall. Most notable performances include Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto with the Hanseatica Orchestra under Michał Krężlewski at Lutoslawski’s Studio One (the Polish Radio Concert Hall) in Warsaw; premiering and recording the Symphonic Poem by A. Kurylewicz as the soloist with the Polish National Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir in Warsaw…
