Coals, consisting of Kacha and Lucassi. On March 22nd of this year, they released their new Polish-language album “Sanatorium” under the PIAS label. The album has been well-received both by listeners and journalists (Polityka, nowamuzyka.pl, Wyborcza, Radio 357, Newonce, and others). Piotr Chęciński on “Sanatorium”: “The duo managed to create a cohesive and engaging universe, merging seemingly distant worlds into one organism. Spiritological futurism, nostalgic excitement – I feel it all at once, and at the same time, we are dealing with an incredibly catchy material full of memorable phrases and earworm melodies.”

After the success of the spring “Sanatorium” tour and their enthusiastically received performances at summer festivals, the duo decided to organize a special autumn tour in collaboration with MIH Agency. We can expect extraordinary audiovisual events, during which Coals will present their new material, as well as well-known tracks from previous years.

The duo has performed at numerous international festivals, including Primavera Sound, Iceland Airwaves, Positivus, Pohoda, MENT, and Eurosonic. They also had the opportunity to perform at major Polish events such as Open’er, OFF, Ephemer, Soundrive, and Fest Festival. Coals can also boast interesting musical collaborations, including with Schafter, Felicita (PC Music), Dianka, Żabson, and 2k88/Brodka. After releasing the album “docusoap,” the duo received nominations for the Fryderyki and Empik Bestseller awards.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
