“In Still Bloom” Photography Exhibition by Filip Gielda

A new series of still nature photographs, each featuring delicate floral compositions, by Polish-born, Copenhagen-based photographer Filip Gielda.

21st May – 18th June, Loop Generation, 171–175 Draycott Avenue, London SW3 3AJ

Coinciding with the opening of the Chelsea Flower Show, Loop Generation – London’s largest destination for curated pre-loved designer fashion – is proud to present a new exhibition “In Still Bloom” featuring the latest works by Polish-born, Copenhagen-based photographer Filip Gielda. The exhibition will open to the public on Wednesday, 21st May, and run until 18th June at Loop Generation’s Chelsea store.

Filip Gielda’s practice is deeply informed by a life spent between cultures and landscapes – from the bustling cities of Poland to the vast, serene expanses of Greenland and Norway, and now Denmark. Annual visits to Japan have instilled in him a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, minimalism, and the quiet dialogue between nature and culture – values that gently permeate his work.

The exhibition presents a new series of still nature photographs, each featuring delicate floral
compositions. Printed exclusively on organza and viscose, the images possess a distinctive lightness and tactility, allowing the natural forms to seem almost suspended in air. The choice of material emphasises Gielda’s ongoing exploration of texture, patience, and the beauty found in stillness. Guided by principles of sustainability, thoughtful curation, and timeless elegance, Loop Generation finds a natural affinity with this exhibition – a meditation on craftsmanship, nature, and the quiet power of things made to last.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
