Chopin Festival 2025 (4th edition)

The popular Chopin Festival returns to POSK for its 4th edition, offering a host of captivating events including a Gala Concert featuring three former International Chopin Piano Competition entrants, a Chopin inspired Jazz performance, an exhibition and a talk.

25th October, Polish Social and Cultural Association POSK, Hammersmith

Following on from the three previously sold-out Festivals, the fourth Annual Chopin Festival returns once more to the Polish Social and Cultural Centre POSK, in London, on Saturday the 25th October 2025, with a phenomenal programme of not only wonderful Chopin Music played by the finest pianists from Poland during the Gala Concert, but also a complementary programme including a Chopin lecture and an exhibition “Chopin in Posters”

As this is the year of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition held in Warsaw, the festival have reflected this within the Festival programme  – with 3 pianists playing who have taken part in the competition, a discussion reflecting on this year’s competition and an article in the Festival programme written by the press spokesman for the Fryderyk Chopin Institute on the history of the Competition.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
