On November 1st, two of Poland’s leading jazz artists - pianist Piotr Wyleżoł and guitarist Szymon Mika - will pay tribute to the giants of Polish jazz.

On November 1st, two of Poland’s leading jazz artists – pianist Piotr Wyleżoł and guitarist Szymon Mika – will pay tribute to the giants of Polish jazz, including Tomasz Stańko, Krzysztof Komeda, Zbigniew Namysłowski, Jarosław Śmietana, and many more.

Through their own inspired interpretations, Wyleżoł and Mika will celebrate both the legends they performed with and those who shaped their musical roots. Their concert promises a deeply personal journey through the soulful, Slavic-infused sound that defines Polish jazz.

Piotr Wyleżoł – an award-winning pianist, composer, and bandleader, praised for his melodic originality and lyrical expression, recently nominated for multiple Fryderyk Awards for his acclaimed album I Love Music (2024).
Szymon Mika – a virtuosic guitarist and composer, recognized on the international scene for his refined tone, emotional depth, and collaborations with world jazz icons such as Avishai Cohen and Kurt Rosenwinkel.

Together, they bring a unique synergy to the stage – a blend of tradition, improvisation, and contemporary artistry.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
