The Dolls We Left Behind: A Child’s Wartime Journey from Poland to Persia, is the memoir of Eugenia Krajewska, who as a child was deported to Siberia in 1940 and later found refuge in Persia with her family.
The memoir is a moving family story and an important record of Polish wartime history, praised by scholars for its vivid testimony.
The event takes place on Saturday 25 October 2025, 3:30–5:00 pm at POSK, London.
Entry is free, with readings, discussion, and Polish cake and prosecco served afterwards.
