About Mr. Cenz

Mr. Cenz, a local graffiti artist and former youth worker, has been painting London walls since the 1980s, securing his first commission at the age of 11. Influenced by hip-hop culture and graffiti tagging, his style combines patterns, lines, and colours with surrealism to create vibrant energetic portraits that reflect a mysterious and cosmic quality. He refined this distinct style during his college and university years as well as practicing throughout the streets of London. Mr. Cenz has held several international solo exhibitions and collaborated with global brands such as Amazon, Pepsi, and Puma. His commissions extend beyond London to cities including Barcelona and New York. The Guardian recently named him among the UK’s most notable street artists alongside figures like Banksy. He views art as a powerful tool for raising awareness and frequently works on community projects addressing social issues such as homelessness, mental health, and youth empowerment. For him artwork isn’t just an individual expression, but a reflection of the people and the place.

Polish Fashion Stories: Unexpected Encounter – Batik

The earliest known examples of Polish batiks appeared around 1903 at an exhibition in Kraków, when the artist Jan Bukowski presented furniture upholstered in textiles decorated with what was called then “a manner of Easter eggs” - it was before the term batik had even entered the Polish language. From this point, other Kraków artists began to further explore the technique and its possibilities.
