TALK: STEALING HITLER’S ROCKET – SMUGGLING A V-2 ROCKET OUT OF NAZI-OCCUPIED EUROPE WITH GUY WALTERS

In this talk, historian Guy Walters reveals the true extent to how much Britain knew about Hitler’s terror weapon and the operation by the Polish resistance to enable Britain and her allies to prepare for the day of reckoning.

Saturday 3rd October 2026, 16:00pm, National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Road, London, SW3 4HT

About the event:

Discover the thrilling true story of the Nazi rocket terror and the brave resistance fighters who exposed it.

In June 1944, Adolf Hitler unleashed the world’s first rocket-delivered warheads on London. First came the V1 “Doodle Bugs,” followed by the terrifying, supersonic V2 rockets. Striking out of thin air with zero warning, these weapons caused over 30,000 casualties and left hundreds of thousands of Londoners homeless.

But Allied forces were not completely blind to the threat.

In this gripping talk, historian Guy Walters reveals how Winston Churchill’s intelligence chiefs knew about the V2 weeks before it struck. Learn how the Polish resistance risked everything to spy on secret Nazi test sites in Eastern Europe, providing the vital intelligence Britain needed to prepare for the day of reckoning.

About the speaker:

Guy Walters has been a journalist, historian and TV presenter since 1992 and has authored twelve books, appeared on over 40 TV programmes and written many news articles.
