Concert Line-up & Artist Profiles

1. HVMBLE
The night kicks off with an energetic, fresh, and innovative jazz trio whose sound seamlessly blends modern jazz aesthetics with open, free improvisation. Comprising award-winning laureates from prestigious competitions like the Junior Jazz Festival and Blue Note Poznań, they are one of the most exciting young forces on the scene.
- Mateusz Tomiak (Guitar & Bandleader): A passionate experimentalist and Jazz nad Odrą 2024 finalist, Tomiak utilizes abstract soundscapes and guitar effects. He has performed across major Polish festivals and collaborates widely outside of jazz with artists like Paktofonika and Rosalie.
- Kosma Góra (Bass Guitar): An expressive improviser and Ministry of Culture scholarship holder, Góra has graced prestigious festival stages such as Jazz Jantar and collaborated with Polish jazz icons like Henryk Miśkiewicz and Kuba Więcek.
- Wojciech “Greeny” Zieliński (Drums): A versatile Fryderyk Chopin University of Music graduate and regular member of the Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet, Zieliński shifts effortlessly across folk, hip-hop, fusion, and free jazz.

2. Marcin Masecki Trio
The second set belongs to the multi-award-winning trio led by Marcin Masecki, a defining figure of Poland’s contemporary music landscape. A Berklee College of Music alumnus, Masecki completely rejects rigid genre divisions, operating at the thrilling intersection of jazz, classical repertoire, and experimental practices.
From winning the International Jazz Piano Competition in Moscow to his radical lo-fi classical reinterpretations (Die Kunst Der Fuge) and his famous Jazz Band Młynarski-Masecki project, Masecki’s virtuosic piano compositions promise a masterclass in musical boundary-pushing.

3. Warsaw Village Band
The takeover concludes with a headline performance by the legendary, internationally acclaimed 8-piece world music ensemble. Formed in 1997, the band (Kapela ze Wsi Warszawa) has spent nearly three decades crafting a powerful sonic language rooted in Polish traditional folk music, historical instruments, and avant-garde, spacious improvisational jams.
Winners of the BBC Radio 3 Award for World Music, Fryderyk Awards, and past Grammy nominees, their groundbreaking albums like Infinity and NORD have topped global charts. They represent the absolute pinnacle of traditional music meeting contemporary innovation.
