In preparation for our upcoming exhibition of Polish photography in 2027, these literary events will explore the intricate relationship between photography, observation, and storytelling. For Greg, memory aided by visual photography has always been central to her creative process.

About the Author
Wioletta Grzegorzewska (publishing under the pen name Wioletta Greg) is a Polish-British writer who has lived in the United Kingdom since 2006. She currently resides in Lewes on the River Ouse.
She is an accomplished poet, previously shortlisted for the Griffin Poetry Prize. Her debut prose book translated into English, Swallowing Mercury, was longlisted for the Man Booker International Prize. Greg’s tales are famously rich in colour, texture, facts, and magic. Her unique, lyrical prose offers a picturesque depiction of a country lost in time, yet distinctly modern.
