Agnès Monod-Gayraud is an award-winning author, translator and former teacher specialising in children’s nonfiction, with a particular interest in science, nature, art and folklore. Originally from New York and now based in London, she received the 2017 Educational Writers’ Award from the UK’s Society of Authors for her translation of The Book of Bees. She is also a language editor for the academic journal Astronomy & Astrophysics and the co-author of Faedom, published in 2024.

Her latest book brings together her passion for science and storytelling, inviting young readers to discover the extraordinary relationship between our planet, the Sun and the Moon.
