Piotr Jordan, virtuoso Polish violinist, was born and grew up behind the Iron Curtain in Poland. He has been fascinated by sound and music from very early on and soon started learning to play violin. Educated first in the classical music tradition his musical interests soon expanded; since then, Piotr has enjoyed a varied freelance career exploring Celtic, Balkan, Gypsy jazz and other traditions of Fiddle music. Piotr believes in bringing diverse music to audiences in informal settings and always enjoys playing dance music for its original purpose – dancing! Piotr’s latest venture was being part of a highly successful Midsummer Night’s Dream production at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
