A fun discussion on visual art and iconography and its role in inspiring music composition, including work by Sir Andrzej Panufnik. Hosted by his children Roxanna and Jem, the talk will be conducted by the experts from the British Library, Chris Scobie and Olga Topol.

The discussion is free to anyone who wants to come and learn how visual images can be the starting point of musical creation. As well as some works of Andrzej Panufnik you will have a chance to hear more about Roxanna Panufnik’s visual inspiration for her new Concerto for Orchestra for NOSPR, and other eminent contemporary composers. The talk will be taking place within the art show based on Jem Panufnik’s musical book ‘The Legend of Kaptain Karnival’ at the POSK Gallery from the 21st March 2026.
