2nd May, 7:30pm, Jackson’s Lane, London
Tickets: Period Drama
Exploring personal experiences of chronic anxiety in a world where fear is starting to look like common sense, Period Drama offers a deep dive into the question of wellness through a feminist lens, via slasher flicks, bloody knickers and the existential dilemmas of insects.
Combining dark humour and physical comedy, this poignant, beautiful and laugh-out-loud performance challenges ideas of who we are and what we are meant to become. The show has toured across England and Wales, where it has been warmly received by audiences and praised for its urgency and relevance to the times we live in, as well as its innovative approach to access.
Period Drama is Kaleta’s first full-length show and will be perfroming at Jacksons Lane on the 2nd May.
The performance is primarily in English but incorporates elements of Polish and engages with themes of Polish experience and identity. Also with integrated BSL by Sherrie Eugene Hart.
