Nominations for the Polish Book Institute’s Transatlantyk Prize

An annual prize organised by the Polish Book Institute, awarded to an indivdiual who has been a particularly strong patron and promoter of Polish literature abroad in the previous year.

Deadline 31 March

The Polish Book Institute’s annual Transatlantyk Prize is given to an individual who is that year’s most prominent patron of Polish Literature abroad.

Winners of the award can, amongst others, be translators, publishers, literary critics and people active in cultural life. 

Only candidates who are citizens of other countries can be accepted as nominees (though also Poles with a foreign passport).

Candidates can be nominated by Polish and foreign institutions dealing with the dissemination of culture, educational centres, publishers, cultural associations and also private individuals.
