UK premiere of ‘The Polish Heart of Jerusalem’, dir. Andrzej Machnowski with Prof. Norman Davies

Learn about the history of Polish presence in Jerusalem

Sunday, 19th November 2023, start time 15:00 at St. Cuthbert’s Church, 50 Philbeach Gardens, London. FREE entry.

(The film will be shown in Polish with English subtitles. The discussion after the film will be in Polish, but Professor Davies also speaks English and there will be a chance to talk to him in English).

This documentary by Andrzej Machnowski explores the history of the Polish House in Jerusalem, established in 1908, and the key figures behind the initiative.

For over a century, the Polish House in Jerusalem, a pilgrim house, has been offering shelter, meals, information, advice and medical assistance to pilgrims in the Holy Land, and, with time, also locals.

Prof. Norman Davies and Fr. Mirosław Jasinski PhD, Bible scholar and the delegate in charge of the Polish Houses in Jerusalem, will take part in the event.
